Great workout routines! The facility is like most boot camp places: free weights, Trx, box jumps, rowing machines, ropes, mats. What separates this class with others is that no class is identical to another. I feel challenged and engaged. Mike is an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and motivating instructor. I feel that most people who workout here are focused on improving themselves and are welcoming.

Highly recommended! My daughter had her 10 yo bday party with 15 of her close friends. Great bday party setting with an area for food, cake, and the entire gym for them to run around and try ninja warrior style obstacles. My kid and her friends enjoyed the interaction and obstacles. The staff were really engaging and fun too. If you are looking for a super cool place for your kid to celebrate their bday, look no further!

Mike King is an amazing trainer! I've been going to Mike's High-Intensity Interval Training classes for about 4 months now, and he's gotten me in the best shape of my life. Mike has a perfectly balanced combo of being incredibly motivating without being drill-sergeant-ish, being knowledgeable without preachy, and the ability to dream up varied exercises to keep it interesting. So, whatever your objective, if you're looking for a great trainer, fun atmosphere, and achieving your goals, you should definitely check his gym out.

I trained with Mike for the Tahoe Spartan Ultrabeast, an ultramarathon length obstacle race. Despite the fact that I had contacted him quite late in the game (2 months away from race day, when the typical training plan calls for 5-6 months), Mike was able to construct a training plan for me. The result? Not only did I finish the race, but I finished it with a smile on my face.

We just hosted my son's 8th birthday party at King's Camps and Fitness with 16 kids. It was the perfect place to go for my American Ninja Warrior fanatic. The kids -- 16 boys and girls, aged 6 to 11 -- LOVED the obstacle course! Mike and Jenny were fantastic to work with...

I decided to do a Spartan race 14 months ago. I looked for a SGX coach local and was lucky to find the best obstacle course and running coach in the area! Mike King has taken my fitness to a level I never thought I could obtain at 49 years old. I couldn't do a pull up, climb a rope or complete the monkey bars when I started training with Mike . I completed my first Spartan Race with only 30 burpees. Mike was determined I was ready to race in the Elite division by the end of the year and I found myself on a Spartan 2nd Place Podium and several Battlegfrog Podiums this year. Mike's HIIT & Strength classes have changed my life to overcome any obstacle put in my path.

Everything I know about OCR I learned from Mike King. I was looking to become more technically proficient at obstacles (no burpees!) and had no fails at my last race thanks to Mike. I highly recommend Mike's OCR classes if you are planning to do a spartan, battle frog, or any type of mud run. He will provide expert advice on everything you need to be successful in your race: obstacle completion, strategy, shoes, clothing, gear, hydration, etc. I also love his open gyms where you can do a self-paced, well-designed OCR workout. His facility has all the state of the art equipment and obstacles you could ever need: rope climb, traverse wall, multi-rig, sled pull, bucket carry, spear throw, and every type of wall you could imagine just to name a few. Plus he has lots of treadmills and rowing machines for extra cardio. Mike is incredibly helpful and supportive and King's Camp is a great place to go and train!

Mike has literally changed my fitness world! About 6 months ago, I decided to tackle a Spartan race and sought out Mike's Obstacle Course Training Camp. This camp was superb...As a result, I was completely prepared for my first Spartan race and finished 6th in my age group. I was so impressed with this camp that I hired Mike as a personal trainer to improve my running and to further improve my obstacle racing ability. As a result, I am stronger, faster, and more agile than I ever have been! The obstacles that I've overcome would have never happened without Mike! Plus, My son is in Mike's Young Warriors, and he LOVES it!

Tired of boring workouts and not seeing results? You MUST try out a class/camp at this gym. Before I found King's Camps and Fitness, I felt slow, weak, and soft… After only 3 weeks of camp I lost 2% body fat and my clothes fit looser. This is great news for me because I was struggling to overcome a weight loss plateau… Mike will make sure you are appropriately challenged and encouraged. Everyone is really welcoming and nice. King's has helped me to find my strength and my youth again. Great job, Mike and team.

He also knows just how to coax the biggest sweat puddles out of a person! The group work out sessions are a blast, with folks all along the fitness spectrum, from elite athletes to those motivated to lose a few lbs. So, whatever your objective, if you're looking for a great trainer, fun atmosphere, and achieving your goals, you should definitely check his gym out.

I've had the pleasure of working with Mike for almost two years and I can honestly say he is a fantastic mentor and coach. Mike has the beautiful balance of pushing you to reach further, but in a loving and supportive way. Two years ago I was quite rusty in getting back into working out, and Mike met me exactly where I was. I never felt badly about what I couldn't do, and he motivated me to want to achieve more. Mike takes the time to really get to know you as a person, and he remembers what is happening in your life. In this way Mike coaches from the heart and sees everyone holistically. Mike continues to deepen his own practice, which has amazing benefits for his clients. He brings to his training all his tools and he shares his own experience. I hope to continue to work with Mike for years to come!

Mike is hands down the best you can get when it comes to a motivating and knowledgeable trainer. He is always there to push you that extra bit and really brings out the best in every person he works with. I've spent the last year working out with Mike and over that time, I'm not only down 40 pounds, but I've run a Spartan Trifecta (the equivalent of 25 miles of racing and 60 obstacles) and have rediscovered the athlete I was in high school.

Mike's been my coach for the last year and a half. He's been awesome at helping me find my inner athlete and encouraging/pushing me to new levels that I didn't know I could reach. He's always there to listen to what my goals are, answer questions from nutrition to recovery, and help me improve. I'm so grateful for his knowledge and expertise. He's funny, kind, and makes workouts so much fun.

I've been working out with mike for over 6 months, and he is by far the best trainer i've ever had. He really takes the time to get to know his clients. He is funny and personably, and his classes are always a blast. He is always pushing us to our limit, and encouraging us to do one more rep, or use just a little more weight. He truly has a passion for health and fitness. He has given me great advice on race training, and injury care. If I ever have a health/exercise related question, I know he will know the answer. He really knows his stuff! I can't recommend him enough!

Mike is an amazing teacher and motivator. His passion for obstacle course racing and being active really shines. He is motivating in a positive and fun way, knowing when to give you that push that will make you mentally and physically stronger. He is great at connecting and communicating with people of all ages! He is extremely knowledgable and is always willing to take the time to answer questions and explain. Couldn't be more happy with Mike at Kings Camps!

I loved Mike King's adult Obstacle Training class. It was so informative and helpful. I feel significantly more prepared for my upcoming OCR's and can't wait to apply all I have leaned from the class. It was such a fun class too! I looked forward to it every week and was always excited to try out everything I was learning. Mike was such a fantastic coach and really knows his stuff. Can't wait to take it again!

I attended Mike's Obstacle Course Race preparation camp once a year ago and again this year. This year additional training was added for spear throw, inverted wall climb and there is a wall traverse also. Learning the techniques to complete the obstacles was the most valuable part, being fit isn't always enough. I would not have completed the Spartan Trifecta last year if I didn't go to this class. Mike explains the obstacles, answers questions, provides OCR training tips, what to expect in various OCRs and encourages teamwork. Also, the class was always fun and I wholeheartedly recommend this if you are looking to improve or participate in an OCR.

Mike is amazing. He helped me to attain weight loss after having my third baby. But my next goal was more than weight loss. I wanted to become strong, agile, fit and fast. Mike is expert with obstacle course training, which I think is so much more challenging and fun than just your usual gym workout. I have enjoyed remembering what it feels like to be a competitive athlete. Mike pushes us at the gym in training on trails and outside the gym at spartan races, tough muddiers and Ragnar races. He is the man for turning your fitness up a notch!
